Love Does No Harm

Love Does No Harm was birthed from the ashes of despair, fear, anxiety  and brokenness.  In July of 2011 I was blessed to escape from the man who had been verbally abusing me for 2 years and physically abusing me for 10 months.  I escaped with my 4 year old son, two suitcases….a broken arm, sprained hand, bite mark and tiger stripe bruises.

I am blessed to be here to tell my story of hope and restoration.

Through the ordeal of my experiences, God has revealed His purpose for my life.  You see, He took that frightened, broken woman who had no semblance of self-esteem intact and brought her to a place of beauty…He has indeed brought beauty from the ashes.  I became fully reliant on Jesus Christ to guide my path out of abuse and He has guided me into a life lived in utter Joy, Love, Peace and FREEDOM.

My recovery from abuse was miraculous.  My friends witnessed miracle after miracle as God brought about His purpose in my life.  Don’t get me wrong…I am not saying this road has not been laden with trials and troubles along the way.  But trust and faith that I am His has forever changed the perspective of even the most challenging situation this life can present. I went from a woman who had lost everything (including herself) and being homeless to a woman devoted to carrying out God’s purpose and being restored.

I am not the exception…What God has done for me He can and will do for you and other broken women and children seeking to escape from a life of verbal, physical, mental and emotional abuse.

LDNH has begun to train Godly women as Domestic Violence Advocates.  We are aiming to offer Domestic Violence Advocacy for women of faith who are seeking prayerful support in the days and weeks following their entry into a new life.  Those days and weeks are the hardest you may ever have to experience…but you CAN and will survive and thrive.

LDNH will be here to help guide you to services that are available through the community and the church.  We want you to be all that God intended you to be.  And through this process of growth, you will discover God’s perfect purpose for your life.

Be encouraged…Psalm 34:18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

We ask for your prayerful support as we place this ministry at the feet of Jesus and seek His perfect will.
